Applicant Requirements:

Must also fulfill all functional roles as Veterinary Technician and receptionist duties including, but not limited to:

  • Analyze cytology (urine sediment, ears, fecal floats, skin scraping, etc.)
  • Surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery
  • Medication calculation, preparation, and administration (IV, IM, SQ, PO)
  • Catheter placements and blood draws; Both at multiple access points (cephalic, saphenous, jugular)
  • Proper Animal restraint (Effectively muzzle and restrain aggressive animals)
  • Obtain digital Radiographs
  • Vaccination protocols
  • Cleaning, polishing and charting teeth for periodontal procedures
  • Responsible for medical equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • Some Phone answering, scheduling appointments, may do some cash handling
  • The practice is open from 8 am to 7 pm Monday & Thursday 8am-6pm Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday and on Saturdays from 8 am until 1 pm. The ideal candidate will have flexibility with their schedule and be able to work full days and some Saturdays.
